Consultancy

Bengaluru Santhe was a project initiated by Bengaluru Metro. Strips of land under the elevated metro train track was the proposed site. The proposed craft market will accommodate more than fifty permanent stalls and other related facilities. Proposal provided an opportunity to try out alternatives in building materials and construction techniques. So a cultural approach to planning in local vernacular vocabulary with a blend of traditional material and modern energy efficient alternatives in construction was attempted. The presentation here shares the aspiration and experience of the designers and implementers.
